Summary
Office of administrative law proceedings. Allows a petition for review of an agency administrative action to be filed by mail, personal service, or electronic mail. (Current law requires a petition for review to be filed by mail or personal service.) Provides that the filing of a document in an administrative proceeding is considered complete on the date of electronic submission if the document is sent by electronic mail. Allows the ultimate authority of an agency to request that the office of administrative law proceedings (office) review a motion to disqualify an administrative law judge. Allows the department of child services to request that the office conduct administrative proceedings on certain administrative actions related to child support and certain substantiated reports of child abuse or neglect. Requires the office to maintain confidentiality in administrative proceedings concerning actions by the department of child services.
