| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of D. Steven Maricle of Peoria, who passed | ||||||
| 4 | away on October 23, 2016; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, D. Steven Maricle was born on October 12, 1947 in | ||||||
| 6 | Peoria; his parents were Doyle and Frances Maricle; he married | ||||||
| 7 | Linda Trail on July 19, 1969; and
| ||||||
| 8 | WHEREAS, D. Steven Maricle played high school and | ||||||
| 9 | collegiate sports as a young man; and
| ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, D. Steven Maricle was a Sergeant in the Illinois | ||||||
| 11 | Air National Guard; he retired after many years of service as a | ||||||
| 12 | funeral director; and
| ||||||
| 13 | WHEREAS, D. Steven Maricle was a longtime member of Mt. | ||||||
| 14 | Olive Missionary Church and later a founding elder of White | ||||||
| 15 | Rose Fellowship in Bellevue; he attended Richwoods Christian | ||||||
| 16 | Church at the time of his passing; and
| ||||||
| 17 | WHEREAS, D. Steven Maricle had a great love of music; he | ||||||
| 18 | sang in many church and area music events, including the Pride | ||||||
| 19 | of Peoria Chorus; he was also a member of the Society for the | ||||||
| 20 | Preservation and Encouragement of Barber Shop Quartet Singing | ||||||

| 1 | in America; and
| ||||||
| 2 | WHEREAS, D. Steven Maricle was preceded in death by his | ||||||
| 3 | parents and one grandchild; and
| ||||||
| 4 | WHEREAS, D. Steven Maricle is survived by his wife, Linda; | ||||||
| 5 | his children, Dyrke (Sarah) Maricle and Jordan (Joshua) Clum; | ||||||
| 6 | his grandchildren, Ethan, Lucie, and Arlis Maricle and Ellowyn | ||||||
| 7 | Clum; his sister, Christine (Roy) Buck; and two nephews; | ||||||
| 8 | therefore, be it

| 9 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 10 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his | ||||||
| 11 | family and friends, mourn the passing of D. Steven Maricle; and | ||||||
| 12 | be it further
| ||||||
| 13 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 14 | presented to the family of D. Steven Maricle as an expression | ||||||
| 15 | of our sympathy.
