2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Judith D. Harmon of River Forest, who | ||||||
4 | passed away on August 23, 2018 at the age of 86; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Judith Harmon was born on February 28, 1932, the | ||||||
6 | only child of James and Laurette Bowdern; she was a native of | ||||||
7 | the Austin neighborhood and attended St. Patrick's Academy for | ||||||
8 | Girls, Siena High School, and Loyola University; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Judith Harmon, a River Forest resident, was an | ||||||
10 | active member of St. Luke Parish for over 50 years and was an | ||||||
11 | involved parent at Trinity High School and St. Ignatius College | ||||||
12 | Prep; and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, Judith Harmon was active in the real estate | ||||||
14 | business; she worked for Pilgrim O'Neil, WR James, and Remax in | ||||||
15 | the Village; and
| ||||||
16 | WHEREAS, Judith Harmon was a long-time friend and neighbor | ||||||
17 | to the Robert E. Gorski family; and
| ||||||
18 | WHEREAS, Judith Harmon was preceded in death by her beloved | ||||||
19 | husband of 57 years, Leo Harmon Sr.; her brothers-in-law, Jim, | ||||||
20 | Bob, Joe, and Don; and by her sisters-in-law, Marion, Helen, |

1 | and Veronica (Ronny); and
| ||||||
2 | WHEREAS, Judith Harmon is survived by her children, Cindy | ||||||
3 | (Bill Mastbrook), Laurette, Leo (Kathleen), and Peter (Joan | ||||||
4 | Smith); her grandchildren, Sean (Rachel), Matt (Kara), | ||||||
5 | Colleen, and Conor Harmon, Brennan, Logan, and Riley Harmon, | ||||||
6 | Michael, Danielle (Jimmy), Sean, Patrick, and Jack Mallers, and | ||||||
7 | Liam, Aidan, Declan, and Annabelle Mastbrook; her | ||||||
8 | great-grandchildren, Luke, Hannah, and Genevieve Harmon and | ||||||
9 | Brooke Johnson; her sisters-in-law, Marge and Anne Harmon; and | ||||||
10 | too many nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces, and | ||||||
11 | nephews to count; therefore, be it

12 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | ||||||
13 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
14 | Judith D. Harmon and extend our sincere condolences to her | ||||||
15 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | ||||||
16 | further

17 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
18 | presented to the family of Judith Harmon as an expression of | ||||||
19 | our deepest sympathy.
