2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
3 | to learn of the death of Donald M. Carr Sr. of East Moline, who | ||||||
4 | passed away on October 28, 2022; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Donald Carr was born to John and Mary Marshall | ||||||
6 | Carr in Rock Island on May 3, 1946; he served in the U.S. Army | ||||||
7 | during the Vietnam War; he married Billie June "B.J." Switzer | ||||||
8 | in Davenport, Iowa on March 26, 1988; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Donald Carr had a long career with John Deere at | ||||||
10 | the John Deere Foundry; he later worked at the John Deere Parts | ||||||
11 | Distribution Center (PDC); he retired from John Deere Seeding | ||||||
12 | Group in 2006; and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, Donald Carr was an avid golfer and a genius at | ||||||
14 | do-it-yourself (DIY) projects; he also loved vegetable | ||||||
15 | gardening and morel mushroom hunting; and
| ||||||
16 | WHEREAS, Donald Carr was preceded in death by his son, | ||||||
17 | Joseph "Joe" Carr; his parents; his brother, Patrick Carr; and | ||||||
18 | his sisters, Mary "Bette" Woods and Kay Rook; and
| ||||||
19 | WHEREAS, Donald Carr is survived by his wife; his | ||||||
20 | daughters, Kelli Carr and Hope Anderson; his son, Donald Carr |

1 | Jr.; his twin brother, Daniel (Helen) Carr; his sister, JoAnn | ||||||
2 | Theuninck; and his numerous nieces and nephews and their | ||||||
3 | families; therefore, be it

4 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | ||||||
5 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of

6 | Donald M. Carr Sr. and extend our sincere
condolences to his | ||||||
7 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved
him; and be it | ||||||

9 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
