2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
3 | to learn of the death of Keith Richard "Rich" DeSchepper of | ||||||
4 | Milan, who passed away on December 9, 2023; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Rich DeSchepper was born to John and Grace Bosold | ||||||
6 | DeSchepper in Rock Island County on July 30, 1928; he served in | ||||||
7 | the U.S. Army during the Korean War; he married Ina Wells in | ||||||
8 | East Moline; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Rich DeSchepper worked at the Collinson Stone | ||||||
10 | Quarry after he returned from his Army service, retiring as | ||||||
11 | plant manager at the age of 87; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, Rich DeSchepper loved to travel and was an avid | ||||||
13 | race car fan, especially of Indy Cars; he was thrilled to be a | ||||||
14 | part of the Honor Flight of the Quad Cities; and
| ||||||
15 | WHEREAS, Rich DeSchepper was preceded in death by his | ||||||
16 | wife; his parents; and his brother and sister-in-law, Allan | ||||||
17 | and Marilyn DeSchepper; and
| ||||||
18 | WHEREAS, Rich DeSchepper is survived by his daughter, Amy | ||||||
19 | (Jeff) Goodnight; his grandchildren, Shannon (Cole) Griffin, | ||||||
20 | Shawn (Lauren) Hall, and Jacy (Alec Hayes) Goodnight; his |
