2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
3 | to learn of the death of Sharon L. Kuhns of Mattoon, who passed | ||||||
4 | away on August 29, 2021; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Sharon Kuhns was born to Ronald J. and Hazel L. | ||||||
6 | Dodd in Watseka on June 25, 1949; she married Gary L. Kuhns in | ||||||
7 | Champaign on August 29, 1970; and
| ||||||
8 | WHEREAS, Sharon Kuhns retired from the University of | ||||||
9 | Illinois Extension in Urbana-Champaign after 28 years of | ||||||
10 | dedicated service; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, Sharon Kuhns was a faithful member of the | ||||||
12 | Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Mattoon; and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, Sharon Kuhns shared her talent and expertise by | ||||||
14 | gifting and displaying many of her beautiful handmade quilts; | ||||||
15 | she had a passion for gardening and enjoyed traveling with | ||||||
16 | friends and family; her highest priority was making memories | ||||||
17 | with her family; and

18 | WHEREAS, Sharon Kuhns is survived by her husband; her two | ||||||
19 | sons, Andrew (Kyla) R. Kuhns and Nicholas (Gwen) J. Kuhns; her | ||||||
20 | four grandchildren, Asa S. Kuhns, Anna M. Kuhns, Alexandra M. |

2 | (Cindy) Dodd and Gary T. (Pam) Dodd; and her one sister, Joyce | ||||||

4 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | ||||||
5 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
6 | Sharon L. Kuhns and extend our sincere condolences to her | ||||||
7 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | ||||||

9 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
