| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
| 3 | to learn of the death of Carl F. Clough Jr. of Rock Island, who | ||||||
| 4 | passed away on September 19, 2023; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Carl Clough was born to Carl Sr. and Mary | ||||||
| 6 | (Schmidt) Clough in Rock Island on December 31, 1922; he | ||||||
| 7 | served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II; he | ||||||
| 8 | married Florence Prucnell in LaSalle on October 12, 1946; and
| ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, Carl Clough worked as a machinist at the Rock | ||||||
| 10 | Island Arsenal until retirement; and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, Carl Clough was a member of St. Mary's Catholic | ||||||
| 12 | Church in Rock Island for over 100 years; he was also a member | ||||||
| 13 | of Moline Legion Post 246; he enjoyed woodworking and golfing; | ||||||
| 14 | and

| 15 | WHEREAS, Carl Clough was preceded in death by his wife; | ||||||
| 16 | his parents; his granddaughter, Carly Behncke; and his | ||||||
| 17 | sisters, Mary Elizabeth, Genevieve, and Madeline; and
| ||||||
| 18 | WHEREAS, Carl Clough is survived by his children, Kathleen | ||||||
| 19 | (Laird) Behncke, Jeffrey (Joan) Clough, and David (Tracy) | ||||||
| 20 | Clough; his grandchildren, Heather (Jeff) Yuknis, Holly | ||||||
