| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
| 3 | to learn of the death of Robert Sterling of East Moline, who | ||||||
| 4 | passed away on May 5, 2021; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Robert Sterling was born to James and Carmel | ||||||
| 6 | (Brown) Sterling in Davenport, Iowa on October 5, 1938; he | ||||||
| 7 | served in the U.S. Navy; he married Karen Healey on August 17, | ||||||
| 8 | 1961; and
| ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, Robert Sterling retired as a machine operator | ||||||
| 10 | with ALCOA in Bettendorf, Iowa; and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, Robert Sterling loved watching westerns, playing | ||||||
| 12 | golf, and playing the Spyro video game with his grandchildren; | ||||||
| 13 | and
| ||||||
| 14 | WHEREAS, Robert Sterling was preceded in death by his | ||||||
| 15 | parents; his two brothers; and his two sisters; and
| ||||||
| 16 | WHEREAS, Robert Sterling is survived by his wife of nearly | ||||||
| 17 | 60 years, Karen; his children, Jeffrey (Linda) Sterling, | ||||||
| 18 | Robert Sterling Jr., James (Lana) Sterling, David (Maria) | ||||||
| 19 | Sterling, Stephen (Roshelle) Sterling, Michael (Diane) | ||||||
| 20 | Sterling, and Sarah Sterling; his grandchildren, Kelly, Katie, | ||||||

| 1 | Courtney, Carson, Brad, Blake D., Jeanie, Brooke, Geovanni, | ||||||
| 2 | JonTavius, Blake A., and Augustus; his 20 great-grandchildren; | ||||||

| 4 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | ||||||
