2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
3 | to learn of the death of Ray A. Crownover of Coal Valley, who | ||||||
4 | passed away on May 4, 2021; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Ray Crownover was born in Davenport, Iowa to Ray | ||||||
6 | Sr. and Mayme (Tizzard) Crownover on August 21, 1929; he | ||||||
7 | served in the U.S. Navy and married Patricia Myers in | ||||||
8 | Hernando, Mississippi on August 20, 1949; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Ray Crownover worked as a deputy supply chief at | ||||||
10 | the Rock Island Arsenal for 35 years, retiring in 1985; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, Ray Crownover was a member of Moline American | ||||||
12 | Legion Post No. 246 and the Rock Island Moose Lodge; he enjoyed | ||||||
13 | shooting pool and woodworking; and
| ||||||
14 | WHEREAS, Ray Crownover was preceded in death by his wife, | ||||||
15 | Patricia; his parents; his son, Loren Crownover; his | ||||||
16 | son-in-law, James Harder; and his siblings, Dorothy Ryall, | ||||||
17 | Edith Biller, Alice Feeney, and Bill Crownover; and
| ||||||
18 | WHEREAS, Ray Crownover is survived by his children, Linda | ||||||
19 | Crownover-Inch, Diane Harder, David (Dana) Crownover, and Tim | ||||||
20 | (Diane) Crownover; his daughter-in-law, Kathy Crownover; 15 |

1 | grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and | ||||||
2 | nephews; therefore, be it

3 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | ||||||
4 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
5 | Ray A. Crownover and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
6 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
7 | further
| ||||||
8 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
9 | presented to the family of Ray Crownover as an expression of | ||||||
10 | our deepest sympathy.
