2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Kenneth H. Wickenhauser of Alton, who | ||||||
4 | passed away on January 27, 2015; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Kenneth Wickenhauser was born on March 5, 1928 in | ||||||
6 | Alton; his parents were Herbert and Doris (nee Betzold) | ||||||
7 | Wickenhauser; he married Bernadine (nee Svoboda) Urban on | ||||||
8 | December 31, 1968; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Kenneth Wickenhauser attended St. Mary's Grade | ||||||
10 | School in Alton, the Christian Brothers Military Academy in St. | ||||||
11 | Louis, and St. Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, Kenneth Wickenhauser served his country with | ||||||
13 | pride as a member of the United States Air Force and the United | ||||||
14 | States Army; and
| ||||||
15 | WHEREAS, Kenneth Wickenhauser was the president of the | ||||||
16 | Modern Plumbing and Heating Company for many years; and
| ||||||
17 | WHEREAS, Kenneth Wickenhauser was a member of St. Mary's | ||||||
18 | Catholic Church; he served as president of the Plumbing and | ||||||
19 | Pipe Fitters Contracting Association for 4 terms; he served as | ||||||
20 | president of the Easter Seal Society, a member of the Civil Air |

1 | Patrol, a member of Life Line Pilots, and a volunteer for St. | ||||||
2 | Anthony's Hospital; he also served on the board of directors of | ||||||
3 | Lockhaven Country Club for one term and was Lockhaven's golf | ||||||
4 | club champion for 3 years; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Kenneth Wickenhauser received his private pilot's | ||||||
6 | license at the age of 16 and was a certified instrument flight | ||||||
7 | instructor; he loved flying, fishing, playing golf, and | ||||||
8 | spending time with his family; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Kenneth Wickenhauser was preceded in death by his | ||||||
10 | parents and a half-brother, Vernon Schwartz; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, Kenneth Wickenhauser is survived by his wife, | ||||||
12 | Bernie; 4 children, Tim (Marcia), Matt (Sue), and Sherry | ||||||
13 | Wickenhauser and Tess (Bernie) Hanneken; 6 grandchildren, Kurt | ||||||
14 | (Erin), Anna, and Mandi Wickenhauser, Kristin (C.J.) Pilliod, | ||||||
15 | and Marlo and Sophia Hanneken; and 3 great-grandchildren; | ||||||
16 | therefore, be it

17 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | ||||||
18 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his | ||||||
19 | family and friends, mourn the passing of Kenneth H. | ||||||
20 | Wickenhauser; and be it further

21 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
