2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
3 | to learn of the death of Frank G. Dexter III of Taylor Ridge, | ||||||
4 | who passed away on December 15, 2020; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Frank Dexter was born in Frankfurt, Germany to | ||||||
6 | Frank G. Jr. and Florence (Kaufman) Dexter on October 29, | ||||||
7 | 1948; he graduated from Rock Island High School and attended | ||||||
8 | Black Hawk College; he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1967 | ||||||
9 | and served in Okinawa, Japan during the Vietnam War; he | ||||||
10 | married Becky A. McLaughlin in Rock Island on November 21, | ||||||
11 | 1975; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, Frank Dexter owned and operated Action Auto Body | ||||||
13 | in Rock Island from 1973 until 2004; he then opened Dexter | ||||||
14 | Custom Woodworks, which he ran until his retirement in 2017; | ||||||
15 | and
| ||||||
16 | WHEREAS, Frank Dexter loved fishing, woodworking, | ||||||
17 | gardening, and cars; and
| ||||||
18 | WHEREAS, Frank Dexter was preceded in death by his | ||||||
19 | parents; and
| ||||||
20 | WHEREAS, Frank Dexter is survived by his wife, Becky; his |

1 | sons, Andrew Frank Dexter (Stephanie McNall) and Joshua Adam | ||||||
2 | (Chelsie) Dexter; his grandson, Cash Dexter; his | ||||||
3 | step-grandchildren, Paige Preston, Bailey Preston, and Payton | ||||||
4 | Anderson; his sisters, Linda (Jeff) Hindman and Lori Mizlo; | ||||||
5 | and many extended family members and friends; therefore, be it

6 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | ||||||
7 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
8 | Frank G. Dexter III and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
9 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
10 | further

11 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
12 | presented to the family of Frank Dexter as an expression of our | ||||||
13 | deepest sympathy.
