775 ILCS 5/5-102.2

Amends the Public Accommodations Article of the Illinois Human Rights Act. 1 AN ACT concerning human rights.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Illinois Human Rights Act is amended by
5changing Section 5-102.2 as follows:
6 (775 ILCS 5/5-102.2)
7 Sec. 5-102.2. Jurisdiction limited. In regard to places of
8public accommodation defined in paragraph (11) of Section
95-101, the jurisdiction of the Department is limited to: (1)
10the failure to enroll an individual; (2) the denial or refusal
11of the full and equal enjoyment of access to facilities,
12goods, or services; or (3) severe or pervasive harassment of
13an individual when the covered entity fails to take corrective
14action to stop the severe or pervasive harassment.

16 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
