Amends the Township Code. Provides that by-laws, rules, and regulations shall also be posted on the township's Internet website if there is such a website in addition to being published in a newspaper. Effective immediately.

1 AN ACT concerning local government.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Township Code is amended by changing Section
540-30 as follows:
6 (60 ILCS 1/40-30)
7 Sec. 40-30. Notice of township regulations. The township
8clerk shall cause all by-laws, rules, and regulations of the
9township to be published within 20 days after their adoption by
10posting them in 3 public places in the town. The clerk also
11shall cause the by-laws, rules, and regulations to be inserted
12once in a newspaper published in the township if there is such
13a newspaper, and posted on the township's Internet website if
14there is such a website. All by-laws, rules, and regulations
15shall take effect and be in force from the date of their
16adoption unless otherwise directed by the electors.
