Bill Title: Amends the Property Tax Code. Provides that the chief county assessment officer shall return the assessment books to the board of review on or before the third Monday in June of the assessment year, or on or before the 90th day following the certification of the final township assessment roll in the county, whichever is later (currently, on or before the third Monday in June of the assessment year). Effective immediately.

SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
35 ILCS 200/9-245

Amends the Property Tax Code. Provides that the chief county assessment officer shall return the assessment books to the board of review on or before the third Monday in June of the assessment year, or on or before the 90th day following the certification of the final township assessment roll in the county, whichever is later (currently, on or before the third Monday in June of the assessment year). Effective immediately.

1 AN ACT concerning revenue.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Property Tax Code is amended by changing
5Section 9-245 as follows:
6 (35 ILCS 200/9-245)
7 Sec. 9-245. Return of books to board of review; counties of
8less than 3,000,000. In counties with less than 3,000,000
9inhabitants, the chief county assessment officer shall on or
10before the third Monday in June of the assessment year, or on
11or before the 90th day following the certification of the final
12township assessment roll in the county, certified pursuant to
13Section 9-230 of this Code, whichever is later, return the
14assessment books to the board of review verified by affidavit,
15substantially in the following form:
