Amends the Child Care Act of 1969. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning background investigations.

1 AN ACT concerning regulation.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Child Care Act of 1969 is amended by
5changing Section 4.4 as follows:
6 (225 ILCS 10/4.4) (from Ch. 23, par. 2214.4)
7 Sec. 4.4. For the the purposes of background investigations
8authorized in this Act, "license applicant" means the operator
9or person with direct responsibility for daily operation of the
10facility to be licensed. In the case of facilities to be
11operated in a family home, the Department may, by rule, require
12that other adult residents of that home also authorize such
13investigations.
