| 2 | WHEREAS, The Child Care Association of Illinois was formed | ||||||
| 3 | 50 years ago to support the families and children of Illinois; | ||||||
| 4 | and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, The Child Care Association of Illinois and its | ||||||
| 6 | member agencies have provided 50 years of excellent service to | ||||||
| 7 | the families and children of Illinois; and
| ||||||
| 8 | WHEREAS, The Child Care Association of Illinois helped | ||||||
| 9 | initiate the ground-breaking legislation to create the | ||||||
| 10 | Department of Children and Family Services; and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, The Child Care Association of Illinois has been | ||||||
| 12 | instrumental in providing support for and attention to the | ||||||
| 13 | important role foster parents provide in caring for the State's | ||||||
| 14 | children; and
| ||||||
| 15 | WHEREAS, The Child Care Association of Illinois has served | ||||||
| 16 | as a leader in the positive development of policy and practice | ||||||
| 17 | in adoption law; and
| ||||||
| 18 | WHEREAS, The Child Care Association of Illinois has worked | ||||||
| 19 | to promote accountability and achievement in child welfare | ||||||
| 20 | through guiding the design and implementation of performance | ||||||
| |||||||
| |||||||
| 1 | contracting; and
| ||||||
| 2 | WHEREAS, The Child Care Association of Illinois member | ||||||
| 3 | agencies through their residential treatment, family | ||||||
| 4 | preservation, foster care, and counseling programs provide | ||||||
| 5 | more than 85% of the direct child welfare services delivered in | ||||||
| 6 | the State; therefore, be it

| 7 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
| 8 | NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
| 9 | we congratulate the Child Care Association of Illinois on the | ||||||
| 10 | 50th anniversary of the organization and acknowledge the work | ||||||
| 11 | and dedication of the member agencies in improving the lives of | ||||||
| 12 | children and families in Illinois; and be it further
| ||||||
| 13 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 14 | presented to the Child Care Association of Illinois.
