2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
3 | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of the | ||||||
4 | Honorable Raymond E. "Ray" Rossi, the former Mayor of the | ||||||
5 | Village of Frankfort, who passed away on June 25, 2024; and
| ||||||
6 | WHEREAS, Judge Rossi, the son of Arnold Rossi and Elsie | ||||||
7 | (Nardoni) Rossi, was born on August 1, 1953; he married Terri | ||||||
8 | Wilson; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Judge Rossi retired as Judge of the Twelfth | ||||||
10 | Judicial Circuit Court of Will County in Joliet; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, Judge Rossi served as Mayor of the Village of | ||||||
12 | Frankfort from 1993 to 2005; during his tenure, he spearheaded | ||||||
13 | initiatives focused on economic development, community | ||||||
14 | engagement, and sustainable growth, elevating community | ||||||
15 | standards in the process and helping make Frankfort the modern | ||||||
16 | village it is today; he was noted as a tough but respected | ||||||
17 | leader who always looked out for what was best for the village | ||||||
18 | and its residents; and

19 | WHEREAS, Judge Rossi was a member of St. Anthony Catholic | ||||||
20 | Church in Frankfort, where he served as Past Grand Knight in | ||||||
21 | the Knights of Columbus; and

1 | WHEREAS, Judge Rossi had a passion for wrestling and | ||||||
2 | coached at the Falcon Wrestling Club; and

3 | WHEREAS, Judge Rossi will be remembered for his | ||||||
4 | leadership, his integrity, and his commitment to the Frankfort | ||||||
5 | community; and
| ||||||
6 | WHEREAS, Judge Rossi was preceded in death by his wife, | ||||||
7 | Terri Rossi, and his father; and
| ||||||
8 | WHEREAS, Judge Rossi is survived by his mother; his | ||||||
9 | children, Amanda (Michael) Marshall, Brandon (Kristin) Rossi, | ||||||
10 | Carmen Rossi, and Drake Rossi; his siblings, Joseph (Eileen) | ||||||
11 | Rossi and AJ (Missy) Rossi; his grandchildren, Brock Marshall, | ||||||
12 | Chase Marshall, Gianna Marshall, Gage Marshall, Miabella | ||||||
13 | Marshall, Madeline Rossi, Tyler Rossi, and Quinn Rossi; and | ||||||
14 | his great-grandson, Beckham Marshall; therefore, be it
