2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
3 | Representatives wish to congratulate the Rotary Club of | ||||||
4 | Chicago Heights-Park Forest on the occasion of the 100th | ||||||
5 | anniversary of its founding; and
| ||||||
6 | WHEREAS, The Rotary Club of Chicago Heights-Park Forest | ||||||
7 | was established on March 2, 1922; and
| ||||||
8 | WHEREAS, Rotarians are dedicated to causes that improve | ||||||
9 | lives, increase understanding among the people of the world, | ||||||
10 | grow peace, create a better world, and end diseases such as | ||||||
11 | polio forever; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, Rotarians promote peace, fight disease, and | ||||||
13 | provide clean water, sanitation, and hygiene; and
| ||||||
14 | WHEREAS, Rotarians save mothers and children, support | ||||||
15 | education, provide scholarships, grow local economies, and | ||||||
16 | protect our environment; and
| ||||||
17 | WHEREAS, Rotarians cultivate a diverse, equitable, and | ||||||
18 | inclusive culture in which people from underrepresented groups | ||||||
19 | have greater opportunities to participate as members and | ||||||
20 | leaders; therefore, be it

4 | on the 100th anniversary of its founding, and we wish it many | ||||||
5 | more wonderful years; and be it further
