| ||||||
2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
3 | Representatives are pleased to recognize Baron, a member of the | ||||||
4 | Warrenville Police Department K-9 response team, on his | ||||||
5 | retirement on December 12, 2014; and
| ||||||
6 | WHEREAS, Baron started his career on the streets on June 1, | ||||||
7 | 2010; during his years of service, he placed second in yearly | ||||||
8 | certification events 4 times; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, During his career, Baron has searched buildings, | ||||||
10 | cars, and individuals in the search for drugs, counting over | ||||||
11 | 600 such searches during his career; he has located over 8 | ||||||
12 | pounds of marijuana, 4 kilos of cocaine and crack, and 1 ounce | ||||||
13 | of heroin; he was also responsible for 3 suspect captures in | ||||||
14 | Warrenville and surrounding communities; and

15 | WHEREAS, Baron has received numerous department citations | ||||||
16 | for his hard work and was recognized by the Drug Enforcement | ||||||
17 | Administration for his assistance with a seizure of 1,400 | ||||||
18 | pounds of marijuana; and
| ||||||
19 | WHEREAS, Baron, along with his partner, Officer Bellinger, | ||||||
20 | are members of the F.I.A.T. K-9 response team; therefore, be it

2 | NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | ||||||
3 | congratulate Baron on a job well done and honor him for his | ||||||
4 | years of successful police work and for being an asset to the | ||||||
5 | Warrenville community; and be it further

6 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
7 | presented to Officer Bellinger on the behalf of Baron, as a | ||||||
8 | symbol of our respect.
