HOUSE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
Representatives are pleased to congratulate Bishop William
Bonner on the occasion of being honored by the Greater Mount
Olive Church of God in Christ at the church's "65th Year
Founders Day Celebration"; and
WHEREAS, Bishop William Bonner has labored in the City of
Aurora for 65 years; he has touched the lives of countless
souls and has built a ministry that is incomparable in the City
of Aurora and beyond; and
WHEREAS, Bishop William Bonner will be honored during an
event on April 3, 2009 and a grand finale service on April 5,
2009 at 6:00 P.M.; and
WHEREAS, Bishop William Bonner serves as a paragon of
loyalty, strength, and compassion for God's people; his
righteous living and his willingness to serve the Church of God
in Christ serves as a shining example to his congregation and
the people of the State of Illinois; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
congratulate Bishop William Bonner on the occasion of being

honored by the Greater Mount Olive Church of God in Christ at
the church's "65th Year Founders Day Celebration" and honor
this great man for his dedication and loyalty to the church;
and be it further
RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
presented to Bishop William Bonner as a symbol of our esteem
and respect.
