Bill Title: Amends the Firearm Concealed Carry Act. Provides that any person who earned in the year preceding his or her application for a new license or a renewal up to twice the annual United States national poverty level as published in the Federal Register by the United States Department of Health and Human Services shall submit $50 with the application for a new license and $25 for a renewal. Provides that all fees collected under this provision shall be deposited into the State Police Firearm Services Fund. Effective immediately.

2 | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

3 | represented in the General Assembly:

4 | Section 5. The Firearm Concealed Carry Act is amended by | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
5 | changing Section 60 as follows:

7 | Sec. 60. Fees. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
8 | (a) All fees collected under this Act shall be deposited as | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
9 | provided in this Section. Application, renewal, and | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
10 | replacement fees shall be non-refundable. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
11 | (b) Except as otherwise provided in subsection (e), an An | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
12 | applicant for a new license or a renewal shall submit $150 with | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
13 | the application, of which $120 shall be apportioned to the | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
14 | State Police Firearm Services Fund, $20 shall be apportioned to | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
15 | the Mental Health Reporting Fund, and $10 shall be apportioned | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
16 | to the State Crime Laboratory Fund. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
17 | (c) Except as otherwise provided in subsection (e), a A | ||||||||||||||||||||||||

2 | shall submit $75, of which $60 shall be apportioned to the | ||||||
3 | State Police Firearm Services Fund, $5 shall be apportioned to | ||||||
4 | the Mental Health Reporting Fund, and $10 shall be apportioned | ||||||
5 | to the State Crime Laboratory Fund.
