Summary

Amends the Property Tax Code. Provides that, if a person qualifying for the disabled persons' homestead exemption, the senior citizens homestead exemption, or the senior citizens assessment freeze homestead exemption subsequently becomes a resident of a facility certified as a supportive living facility under the Illinois Public Aid Code, then the exemption shall continue so long as the residence continues to be occupied by the qualifying person's spouse if the spouse is 65 years of age or older, or if the residence remains unoccupied but is still owned by the person qualified for the homestead exemption. Effective immediately.
