Summary

Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code. Provides that, upon receipt of a request of an incumbent alderman of the City of Chicago, accompanied by the appropriate application and fee, the Secretary of State shall issue one set of special Chicago alderman registration plates to the alderman. Provides that the special plates shall be affixed only to passenger vehicles of the first division or motor vehicles of the second division weighing not more than 8,000 pounds. Provides that the design and color of the plates shall be wholly within the discretion of the Secretary, except that the plates shall bear the alderman's ward number and the seal of the City of Chicago.
