Summary

Amends the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF) Article of the Illinois Pension Code. Provides that the Fund shall post on its publicly available website the following information regarding municipalities that participate in the Fund that the Fund has in its possession: (1) copies of all resolutions adopted by a municipality on or after January 1, 1995 to participate in the Fund if such a resolution was required; (2) an annual report listing each municipality and the date each municipality first became a municipality that participates in the Fund; (3) all documents pertaining to each municipality's annual projected future contributions to the Fund; and (4) information about the amount of each municipality's past required contributions to the Fund for each year of participation on or after January 1, 1995 and before, if available. Requires municipalities to post to its website a link to that information. Specifies that the provisions do not require the Fund to post on its website information that is exempt from disclosure under the Freedom of Information Act and do not require a municipality to establish or maintain a website. Amends the State Mandates Act to require implementation without reimbursement by the State. Effective July 1, 2020.
