1,
paragraph
c,

is
amended
to
read
as
follows:

c.
A
licensed
qualified
organization
shall
not
conduct
or

offer
free
bingo
games
or
bingo
games
for
which
the
price
to
4
play
exceeds
fifty
dollars
per
game
.

99B.21,
subsection
2,
paragraph
c,
Code

2024,
is
amended
to
read
as
follows:

c.
A
merchandise
prize
may
be
awarded
in
the
game
of
bingo,

but
the
actual
retail
value
of
the
prize,
or
if
the
prize
9
consists
of
more
than
one
item,
unit,
or
part,
the
aggregate
10
retail
value
of
all
items,
units,
or
parts,
shall
not
exceed
11
two
nine
hundred
fifty
dollars
in
value.
However,
if
the
12
merchandise
prize
solely
consists
of
one
firearm,
the
actual
13
retail
value
of
the
prize
shall
not
exceed
five
thousand
14
dollars.

EXPLANATION

The
inclusion
of
this
explanation
does
not
constitute
agreement
with

the
explanation’s
substance
by
the
members
of
the
general
assembly.

This
bill
relates
to
bingo
games
provided
by
a
licensed
19
qualified
organization.
20
The
bill
prohibits
a
licensed
qualified
organization
from
21
conducting
or
offering
a
bingo
game
for
which
the
price
to
play
22
exceeds
$50
per
game.
The
bill
also
increases
the
maximum
23
permissible
value
of
a
merchandise
prize
awarded
in
a
game
of
24
bingo
from
$250
to
$950,
unless
the
merchandise
prize
consists
25
solely
of
one
firearm,
in
which
case
the
maximum
permissible
26
value
is
$5,000.
