Code
2011,
is
amended
by
adding

the
following
new
subsection:

SUBSECTION

12.
A
procurement
organization
shall

utilize
discretion
and
sensitivity
with
respect
to
the

circumstances,
views,
and
beliefs
of
the
family
of
a
donor
or
5
prospective
donor
in
all
contacts
with
family
members
regarding
6
an
anatomical
gift.

EXPLANATION

This
bill
includes
in
the
rights
and
duties
of
procurement
9
organizations,
a
requirement
that
a
procurement
organization
10
utilize
discretion
and
sensitivity
with
respect
to
the
11
circumstances,
views,
and
beliefs
of
the
family
of
a
donor
or
12
prospective
donor
in
all
contacts
with
family
members
regarding
13
an
anatomical
gift.
A
procurement
organization
includes
an
eye
14
bank,
organ
procurement
organization,
or
tissue
bank.
