Section 261B.11, subsection 1, Code 2016, is 1 2 amended by adding the following new paragraph: 1 3 NEW PARAGRAPH. o. A school of religious study located 1 4 in Iowa that was established in Spain in 1982, is affiliated 1 5 with the department of global missions of open bible churches, 1 6 grants bachelor's degrees, and is accredited by a nationally 1 7 recognized accrediting agency as determined by the United 1 8 States department of education. 1 9 EXPLANATION 1 10 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 1 11 the explanation's substance by the members of the general assembly. 1 12 To the list of schools and courses of instruction that are 1 13 exempt from the postsecondary school registration requirements 1 14 of Code chapter 261B, this bill adds a school of religious 1 15 study located in Iowa that was established in Spain in 1982, 1 16 is affiliated with the department of global missions of open 1 17 bible churches, grants bachelor's degrees, and is accredited by 1 18 a nationally recognized accrediting agency as determined by the 1 19 United States department of education.
