Section 483A.8B, subsection 1, Code 2018, is 1 2 amended to read as follows: 1 3 1. A person who is a resident and who is seventy years 1 4 of age or older may be issued one special senior statewide 1 5antlerless deer onlyantlered or any sex deer crossbow deer 1 6 hunting license to hunt deer during bow season as established 1 7 by rule by the commission. A person who obtains a license 1 8 to hunt deer under this section is not required to pay the 1 9 wildlife habitat fee but shall be otherwise qualified to hunt 1 10 deer in this state and shall purchase a resident hunting 1 11 license that does not include the wildlife habitat fee. 1 12 EXPLANATION 1 13 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 1 14 the explanation's substance by the members of the general assembly. 1 15 This bill provides that a resident who is 70 years of age or 1 16 older may be issued one special senior statewide antlered or 1 17 any sex deer crossbow deer hunting license to hunt deer during 1 18 bow season as established by rule by the natural resource 1 19 commission.
