STATE OF HAWAII

A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

RELATING TO THE OFFICE OF HAWAIIAN AFFAIRS.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 

     SECTION 1.  The auditor shall conduct a financial and management audit of the office of Hawaiian affairs and shall submit a report on the findings and recommendations to the governor and the legislature no later than twenty days prior to the convening of the regular session of 2011.

     SECTION 2.  The office of Hawaiian affairs shall reimburse the auditor for the costs expended to conduct the financial and management audit.  The reimbursement shall be paid out of the general funds appropriated to the office of Hawaiian affairs.

     SECTION 3.  This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2050.

Description:

Requires the State auditor to conduct a financial and management audit of the Office of Hawaiian Affairs and issue a report no later than twenty days prior to the convening of the regular session of 2011.  Requires the Office of Hawaiian Affairs to reimburse the auditor for the cost of the audit from general funds.  (SD2)
