A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

relating to kaneohe bay regional council.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


     SECTION 1.  Section 200D-4, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended to read as follows:

     "[[]§200D-4[]  Meetings.] Annual meeting.  [All meetings   of theThe council shall [be conducted] schedule and conduct a meeting in accordance with chapter 92[, and shall be held on the first Wednesday of each calendar quarter] in each year of its operation."

     SECTION 2.  Section 200D-5, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended to read as follows:

     "[[]§200D-5[]]  Annual report.  The council shall submit [semi-annual reports] an annual report on its activities to the governor and the legislature, which may include recommendations; provided that the recommendations are consistent with the purposes of this chapter."

     SECTION 3.  Act 68, Session Laws of Hawaii 2009, is repealed.

     SECTION 4.  Statutory material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken.  New statutory material is underscored.

     SECTION 5.  This Act shall take effect on June 30, 2010.

Kaneohe Bay Regional Council; Meeting; Report

 

Description:

Requires the Kaneohe Bay Regional Council to meet annually instead of quarterly and to report on its activities annually instead of semi-annually.  Repeals the sunset of the Council scheduled for 7/1/2010.
