A BILL FOR AN ACT
RELATING TO HUMAN SERVICES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $6,000,000 or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2016-2017 for subsidies for the preschool open doors program.
The sum appropriated shall be expended by the department of human services for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 2. There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $198,773 or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2016-2017 to establish one full-time equivalent (1.00 FTE) position in the department of human services and for related costs in administering the preschool open doors program as the statewide school readiness program.
The sum appropriated shall be expended by the department of human services for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2016.
