A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

RELATING TO THE HAWAII STATE FOUNDATION ON CULTURE AND THE ARTS.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


     SECTION 1.  There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $           or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2022-2023 for the State of Hawaii Museum of Monarchy History.

     The sum appropriated shall be expended by the Hawaii state foundation on culture and the arts for the care, maintenance, and operation of the State of Hawaii Museum of Monarchy History.

     SECTION 2.  There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $           or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2022-2023 for the State of Hawaii Museum of Natural and Cultural History.

     The sum appropriated shall be expended by the Hawaii state foundation on culture and the arts for the care, maintenance, and operation of the State of Hawaii Museum of Natural and Cultural History.

     SECTION 3.  This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2050.

Description:

Appropriates funds to the State of Hawaii Museum of Monarchy History (Iolani Palace) and the State of Hawaii Museum of Natural and Cultural History (Bernice Pauahi Bishop Museum), to be expended by the Hawaii State Foundation on Culture and the Arts.  Effective 7/1/2050.  (SD1)
