A BILL FOR AN ACT


 

 

RELATING TO capital improvement projects for the benefit of the forty-first representative district.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


     SECTION 1.  The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2009-2010.

1.   To be expended by the department of education:

     A.   Waikele Elementary School, Oahu

Design and construction for the expansion of the faculty parking lot to add thirty parking stalls.

                   Total funding                      $100,000

     B.   Kaleiopuu Elementary School, Oahu

Design and construction of an emergency exit through Hoaeae community park.

                   Total funding                      $200,000

     C.   Kaleiopuu Elementary School, Oahu

Design and construction of a covered walkway from Building D to the cafeteria.

                   Total funding                      $100,000

     D.   Honowai Elementary School, Oahu

Design and construction of walls to separate and serve as a permanent barrier between classrooms H1 and H2, H3 and H4, H5 and H6, G1 and G2, L1 and L2, and J1 and J2, respectively; and design, construction, and installation of two solar exhaust ventilators in each classroom.

                   Total funding                      $260,000

     SECTION 2.  The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the designated expending agency for the purposes of this Act.

     SECTION 3.  This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2009.
