RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending Crabapple Middle School on its redesignation as a Georgia
Lighthouse School to Watch; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Crabapple Middle School is one of 16 middle schools in the State of Georgia to
have received recognition as a Lighthouse School to Watch and is the first in
the nation to receive such a designation for the third time; and
WHEREAS,
this honor demonstrates that this high-performing middle grade school has a
clear focus on academic growth and achievement, recognizes the importance of
meeting the needs of all its students, and ensures that each and every child has
access to a rigorous, high-quality education; and
WHEREAS,
selection for Georgia Lighthouse School to Watch is a recognition of
demonstrated and potential leadership, commitment to education, and academic
achievement; and
WHEREAS,
the future depends on individuals such as those at Crabapple Middle School who
are willing to dedicate their time to academic growth and
education.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body recognize
and commend Crabapple Middle School on its redesignation as a Georgia Lighthouse
School to Watch.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Crabapple Middle School.
