RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending Mrs. Christine Lambert; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Mrs. Christine Lambert has long been recognized for the vital role that she has
played in leadership and her dedication to making Georgia a place where
education and the arts are valued and enjoyed by all citizens; and
WHEREAS,
Mrs. Lambert was born in West Tennessee, and moved to Atlanta with her family as
a teenager, where she attended Girls High; and
WHEREAS,
she earned a bachelor's degree in marketing from Georgia State University and
worked for Delta Airlines as a receptionist and flight attendant;
and
WHEREAS,
Mrs. Lambert was united in love and marriage to the late Roy Lambert, and
together, the couple worked tirelessly to improve Madison and Morgan County;
and
WHEREAS,
she is the proud mother of three remarkable children, Leigh Goff, Anne Trulock,
and Zeke Lambert; and
WHEREAS,
a successful fund raiser, Mrs. Lambert has been instrumental in the
beatification of downtown Madison and in providing financial assistance to the
Madison Morgan Cultural Center, the Steffen Thomas Museum, and the Morgan
Memorial Hospital; and
WHEREAS,
she has served on the Georgia Women of Achievement Board of Directors and the
Georgia College and State University Foundation, and has served as an advocate
for the local public school system; and
WHEREAS,
her significant organizational talents, her remarkable patience and diplomacy,
her keen sense of vision, and her sensitivity to the needs of the citizens of
this state have earned her the respect and admiration of her colleagues and
associates; and
WHEREAS,
Mrs. Lambert's expertise in historical preservation and her passion for honoring
historical treasures in Georgia has been a great benefit to all Georgians;
and
WHEREAS,
Mrs. Lambert is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable
reputation for integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness, and the State of
Georgia is honored to have such a motivated and hard-working individual as one
of its citizens.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body commend
Mrs. Christine Lambert for her decades of selfless service to her community and
the State of Georgia and extend to her best wishes for her near and distant
future.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Mrs. Christine Lambert.
