RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending Reverend André Landers on the occasion of his 10th
pastoral anniversary; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Reverend André Landers has demonstrated his commitment to teaching the
Gospel, witnessing Christ through word and deed, and addressing the physical,
psychological, intellectual, and spiritual needs of others; and
WHEREAS,
Reverend Landers was called by the Lord ten years ago to lead the congregation
of Higher Living Christian Church; and
WHEREAS,
his vision and direction have helped Higher Living Christian Church grow in size
and influence, uplifting the community like the light of Bethlehem and serving
as a spiritual leader and place for fellowship; and
WHEREAS,
with locations including McDonough, Jonesboro, and Hampton, Reverend Landers has
overseen the expansion of Higher Living Christian Church to over 12,000 faithful
members in the last ten years; and
WHEREAS,
over the past decade leading Higher Living Christian Church, Reverend Landers
has established numerous programs and workshops which have improved the
spiritual and educational growth of the church and the surrounding community;
and
WHEREAS,
Reverend Landers established the Community Impact Center, a local nonprofit
organization that offers economic empowerment and Kingdom resources through
counseling, outreach, support for community development, educational
scholarships, and support to various county public school systems;
and
WHEREAS,
he is united in love and marriage to First Lady Kimberly Landers, and they have
been blessed with two remarkable twin daughters, Devin and Morgan;
and
WHEREAS, whether the task is preparing a sermon, visiting the sick, counseling the troubled, baptizing a new believer, or acting as a theologian, educator, administrator, or humanitarian, Reverend Landers serves as a shining example of God's righteous path; and

WHEREAS,
the unmatched spiritual assistance offered by Reverend Landers is a source of
strength and direction for persons in all walks of life and from all economic
strata; and
WHEREAS,
it is abundantly fitting and proper that this enduring example of God's message
of peace and love be recognized and congratulated for his innumerable good works
rendered on behalf of persons in need.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body congratulate Reverend André Landers on the wonderful occasion
of his 10th pastoral anniversary with Higher Living Christian Church and extend
best wishes for many more years of successful fellowship and
leadership.

IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Reverend
André Landers.
