RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending Mrs. Georgianna S. Hendrix; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Mrs. Georgianna S. Hendrix is a native of Bowling Green, Kentucky, and attended
High Street High School and Western Kentucky University; and
WHEREAS,
Mrs. Hendrix is united in love and marriage to Robert F. Hendrix and is the
proud mother of five and the proud grandmother of eight; and
WHEREAS,
while in Bowling Green, she worked for FMC Corporation, was a member of the
Bowling Green Human Rights Commission, and was designated as an Honorary
Kentucky Colonel in 2005 by Kentucky Governor Ernie Fletcher; and
WHEREAS,
Mrs. Hendrix was also involved in the establishment of the FOCUS Coalition, an
antidrug initiative in Charles Town, West Virginia; and
WHEREAS,
she is a faithful member of the Faith Christian Center in Smyrna, Georgia, where
she has served as a section leader, and is a 2008 graduate of the church's Faith
Christian Center School of Ministry; and
WHEREAS,
this amazing woman, wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and leader has dutifully
and honorably served the Henry County community as a member of the Board of
Equalization; and
WHEREAS,
Mrs. Hendrix gives inspiration to many through her high ideals, morals, and deep
concern for her fellow citizens, and the devotion, patience, and understanding
she has demonstrated to her family and friends is admired by others;
and
WHEREAS,
she is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for
integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness and, by the example she has made
of her life, she makes this world a better place in which to live.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body commend the life and legacy of Mrs. Georgianna S.
Hendrix.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Mrs.
Georgianna S. Hendrix.
