RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending Miss Junior Dacula 2010 Jessy Mailloux; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS,
Jessy Mailloux has shown by the example of her academic accomplishments and
extracurricular involvement that the pursuit and attainment of excellence are
within the reach of the students in this state; and
WHEREAS,
a senior at Dacula High School, Jessy recently earned the prestigious title of
Miss Junior Dacula 2010; and
WHEREAS,
committed to uplifting the lives of others through service to her community,
Jessy has been an active volunteer with the Gwinnett County Humane Society's
Pawfest, Georgia Right to Life, Autism Speaks, Gwinnett Relay for Life, and the
Dacula Cluster PTA; and
WHEREAS,
Jessy served on a missionary team in the Dominican Republic that offered free
medical and dental checkups to adults and tutoring to children; and
WHEREAS,
an honor roll student, Jessy is a role model to her peers and a school leader,
is a member of the football and competition cheerleading teams, and is a student
leader of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes; and
WHEREAS,
Jessy has been accepted to Liberty University, where she plans to study video
broadcast journalism; and
WHEREAS,
by her many achievements, grace, and poise, Jessy has brought credit to her
parents, her community, her school, and this state; and
WHEREAS,
all Georgians are proud of young women who, like Jessy, represent the very best
that this state has to offer; and
WHEREAS,
the State of Georgia looks forward with great anticipation to the promising and
bright future of this remarkable young citizen.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body congratulate Jessy Mailloux on being named Miss Junior Dacula 2010 and
extend to her best wishes for her near and distant future.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Miss Junior
Dacula 2010 Jessy Mailloux.
