Amend
the Senate Health and Human Services Committee substitute to HB 954 (LC 25
6051S) by replacing line 54 with the following:
physicians

the unborn
child is not viable, as such term is defined in Code Section 31-9B-1, or in
reasonable medical judgment the abortion
is necessary

inserting after line 99 the following:

'Viable' means that stage when, in the best medical judgment of the attending
physician based on the facts of the case before the physician, there is a
reasonable likelihood of the fetus's sustained survival outside of the
womb.
