Summary

A BILL to be entitled an Act to enact the "Juvenile Burglary Prevention Act of 2010"; to state legislative findings; to amend Chapter 11 of Title 15 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to juvenile courts, so as to reduce the number of repeat burglaries which may trigger transfer of a juvenile for prosecution in superior court; to provide that when a juvenile is taken into custody for burglary, the immediate disposition shall be by the juvenile court; to provide that a second burglary by a juvenile shall be a designated felony act; to provide for related matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
