    2         An act relating to the Sunshine State One-Call of
    3         Florida, Inc., board of directors; amending s.
    4         556.103, F.S.; requiring a certain number of licensed
    5         underground utility and excavation contractors to be
    6         voting members of the Sunshine State One-Call of
    7         Florida, Inc., board of directors; requiring the
    8         National Utility Contractors Association of Florida to
    9         provide recommendations for such members; providing an
   10         effective date.

   12  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
   13  
   14         Section 1. Subsection (2) of section 556.103, Florida
   15  Statutes, is amended to read:
   16         556.103 Creation of the corporation; establishment of the
   17  board of directors; authority of the board; annual report.—
   18         (2) The membership of the corporation shall elect a board
   19  of directors to administer the system. The board of directors
   20  must include as voting members at least two underground utility
   21  and excavation contractors, as defined in s. 489.105(3)(n), who
   22  are licensed in the state. The National Utility Contractors
   23  Association of Florida shall provide recommendations to the
   24  membership of the corporation for the appointment of the two
   25  licensed underground utility and excavation contractors.
   26         Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2024.
