HOUSE BILL NO. 437

AN ACT TO AMEND TITLE 29 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO STATE PROCUREMENT.


BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF DELAWARE:


Section 1. Amend §6962(c), Title 29 of the Delaware Code by making deletions as shown by strike through and insertions as shown by underline as follows:

(12) All contractors and subcontractors are required, independently or through agreement with other organizations, to provide craft training for journeyman and apprentice levels through a bona fide program approved by and registered with the State of Delaware and/or United States Department of Labor for any project in which workers shall be paid the prevailing wage under §6960 of this title.


SYNOPSIS

This bill requires that all contractors and subcontractors are required, independently or through agreement with other organizations, to provide craft training for journeyman and apprentice levels through a bona fide program approved by and registered with the State of Delaware and/or United States Department of Labor for projects in which workers shall be paid the prevailing wage under §6960 of Title 29.
