Summary
This is a housekeeping bill to correct an error. Delaware law currently restricts subsequent DUI offenders who are eligible for the Ignition Interlock Device (IID) mechanism from being eligible for IID driver licenses if their driving privileges are currently in a suspended, revoked, denied, or unavailable status for any other violations of the law of any jurisdiction. This bill will correct this error and allow DMV to issue IID driver licenses to subsequent DUI offenders who would otherwise be eligible when they currently do not have valid driving privileges.
Title
An Act To Amend Title 21 Of The Delaware Code Relating To The Ignition Interlock Device (iid) Program.
