Summary

As introduced it clarifies when a victim has the right to have a sexual assault advocate present and establishes that sexual assault advocates are certified by the Office of Victim Services and Justice Grants. It establishes a victims right to receive information about their case from prosecutors and MPD. It establishes confidentiality and mandatory reporting requirements for sexual assault victim advocates. It clarifies victims rights when receiving medical care and among other things expands the definition of sexual contact to include the removal of a person's clothing without consent.
