AN ACT CONCERNING RENAISSANCE DISTRICTS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That chapter 184b of the general statutes be amended to (1) allow the Commissioner of Economic and Community Development to establish renaissance districts in downtown areas where multiple arts and cultural sites are present, and (2) provide tax incentives to encourage other arts and cultural sites to locate in such districts.

Statement of Purpose:

To allow Commissioner of Economic and Community Development to establish renaissance districts to enhance the arts in Connecticut.
