AN ACT CONCERNING RELIEF FROM STATE EDUCATION MANDATES FOR CERTAIN SCHOOL DISTRICTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 170 of the general statutes be amended to relieve a local or regional board of education from certain education mandates if the equalization aid grant for such board, pursuant to section 10-262h of the general statutes, is less than twenty-five per cent of budgeted appropriation for education for such board.
Statement of Purpose:
To reduce state education mandates on school districts that receive less than twenty-five per cent of their education budgets from the education cost sharing grant.
