AN ACT REQUIRING REPEALER SESSIONS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

Section 1. (NEW) (Effective January 1, 2016) Notwithstanding any provision of the general statutes, for the 2016 regular session of the General Assembly and each fourth regular session thereafter, the General Assembly shall enact no legislation other than legislation with the sole purpose of repealing a provision of the general statutes or a public or special act.

This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections:

Section 1

January 1, 2016

New section

Statement of Purpose:

To provide that every fourth regular session be a repealer session.
