AN ACT CONCERNING THE USE OF ASSISTANCE DOGS FOR MEDICAL ALERT PURPOSES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 46a-44 of the general statutes be amended to allow a person who uses a dog for assistance because of seizures, allergens or cancer to travel on public transportation and enter places of public accommodation accompanied by the assistance dog.
Statement of Purpose:
To expand the requirement that public transportation and places of public accommodation allow assistance dogs used for medical alert purposes.
