AN ACT ALLOWING THE SPOUSE OF AN INSTITUTIONALIZED PERSON TO RETAIN MORE ASSETS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That title 17b of the general statutes be amended to increase the minimum amount a community spouse of an institutionalized Medicaid recipient may keep to fifty thousand dollars.
Statement of Purpose:
To provide greater assistance to seniors with institutionalized spouses.
