AN ACT CONCERNING INSPECTIONS BY FIRE MARSHALS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

Section 1. Section 29-305 of the general statutes is amended by adding subsection (f) as follows (Effective October 1, 2016):

(NEW) (f) Each local fire marshal may permit the cross-deputization of certain nonexperts to conduct routine fire inspections.

This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections:
Section 1	October 1, 2016	29-305

Statement of Purpose:

To ease the burden on fire departments in conducting state mandated fire inspections.
